Butralin is a selective preemergence herbicide, which is widely
used for the control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in fruit
trees, vegetables, nuts and green crops.
Butralin may be used as an analytical reference standard for the
quantification of the analyte in tobacco and juice samples using
various chromatographic techniques.

In studies using laboratory animals, butralin generally has been
